An Uncompromising 1,400-Horsepower Hill Climb Beast
Built by BBi Autosport for Ken Block's 2022 Pikes Peak campaign, the Hoonipigasus pushed the classic Porsche silhouette into full hill climb territory. Its widened body, enormous aerodynamic surfaces and unmistakable pink finish made its purpose clear before the engine was even started.
Behind the driver sat a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre flat-six producing a reported 1,400 horsepower. With all-wheel drive, a lightweight competition build and suspension developed for the mountain, every part of the car was shaped around the demands of Pikes Peak's 156 corners.
Tackling Pikes Peak and Honouring the Pink Pig
The pink-and-white livery was created by artist Trouble Andrew, also known as GucciGhost, as a modern tribute to Porsche's famous 1971 917/20 "Pink Pig" Le Mans racer. The result connected two very different eras of experimental Porsche competition design.
An engine problem during practice prevented Ken Block from making an official timed run at the 2022 event. The car later returned to the mountain in 2023, when his daughter Lia Block drove it in a tribute to her father's motorsport legacy.
Designed Around the Mountain
The Hoonipigasus was shaped around aerodynamic grip. Its deep front splitter, extended side skirts, wide arches and towering rear wing created a profile unlike almost anything else carrying a Porsche badge.
Those exaggerated proportions also make it an ideal subject for a display model: even at a much smaller scale, the low nose, huge wing and bright livery remain immediately recognisable.
From Hoonigan History to Display Shelf
The official LEGO Speed Champions 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR V1, set 77262, gives collectors one side of Ken Block's automotive story. The compatible Hoonipigasus display model brings its very different Porsche-based successor into the same eight-stud-wide format.
Displayed together, the two cars show the contrast between the Hoonicorn's classic American muscle shape and the Hoonipigasus's extreme hill climb engineering. The matching scale makes them a natural pairing without suggesting that the compatible model is an official LEGO product.
